To start, the homeowner requested an island to face the soaring views. Next, the design team approached the space with the idea of an overt, stupendous canopy encompassing the feel of an actual island – somewhat industriously floating in the center of this bright apartment surrounded with Pure White sand lacquer kitchen cabinets from Italy and white Miele appliances from Germany. The island awning, columns, counter and base are featured in Trillium from Dekton sintered stone. To soften, walnut drawer base units provide a balanced warm temperature.
The linear porcelain floors from Ceramic Matrix provide a quiet foundation, especially allowing the bright tropical blue paint to showcase the spacious floating cabinets surrounding the tv. The idea of this design was to provide a balanced canvas for the homeowner’s extensive art.
