The project revitalizes a 1960s home for a couple dedicated to sports and boating, transforming disconnected rooms into a cohesive coastal retreat in Coral Ridge Isles. The design merges mid-century aesthetics with modern elements while preserving the original cement flooring. The kitchen now serves as the heart of the home, featuring oxidized metal countertops and lime-washed texture-finished cabinetry. These features foster warmth and an inviting ambiance that evokes the 1960s midcentury modern dream of Fort Lauderdale. Walls were removed and windows expanded to enhance sightlines, bringing the outdoor beauty inside. The redesigned office balances privacy while serving as a focal point. Similarly, the dining room displays built-ins that create almost a mural-effect focal point. At the same time, the living room feeling is dynamic with playful inset LEDs, and a volumetric TV unit. This stunning home embraces the canal’s charming lifestyle, creating a sanctuary of happiness.
